Two thick black lines intersect at the bottom left corner, forming a right angle. One line is vertical along the left edge, and the other is horizontal along the bottom edge, on a plain light background.

OUR COMMERCIAL REMODEL PROCESS

Initial Conversation + Walkthrough

Own the space already? Great. Looking for a bid on a space that needs retrofitting? We handle that too. We meet you, visit the space, and learn about what we need to have a big-picture conversation about the project and its logistics.

Bidding + Estimate

We take a comprehensive look at your commercial construction project and put together a transparent estimate for all the repairs and remodeling work so you can make the right move for your business.

Design + Development

Depending on your needs, our interior designer will create layout plans and help with finish selections. You’ll get an updated budget proposal if applicable, so you’re not left with any surprises. If your project requires an architect, we can pair you with one that aligns with your vision.

Construction + Communication

Now, we get boots on the job site and begin the work. Each of our industry trade professionals are carefully vetted to be professional, trustworthy, and respectful of your investment. We keep you updated with need-to-know project updates as they arise.

Walkthrough + Wrap-Up

Our project manager will help address punch list items as they come up to get from 95% to 100%. After inspectors have approved your facility, we schedule a final walkthrough together so you’re confident that every small detail is covered.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How is a commercial remodel different from a tenant improvement?

A commercial remodel modifies or upgrades an existing commercial space to improve how it looks and supports your business. A tenant improvement builds out a leased space to meet the needs for an incoming tenant.

Can you remodel while we stay operational?

Yes! We’ve done phased projects that allow businesses to stay open while we remodel in sections. We’ll work with you to build a commercial construction plan to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum.

How long will a commercial remodel take?

It depends. Is your remodel a break room, or 5,000 square feet and multiple spaces? Scope, phasing, and permitting all come into play. But when we get familiar with your project, we’ll build out a realistic schedule and keep you informed at every stage.

Do I need a designer before contacting you?

That’s where Getty Construction is at our best. Our in-house interior design team can help you build an excellent plan from scratch, or we can execute your completed design plans. (You should really get to know our in-house design team, though — we’re biased, but we think they’re pretty great.)

Can you handle permitting and inspections?

Absolutely. We have seen it all, and we handle permitting and inspections as part of our general contracting fee.

TESTIMONIALS

“Redeemer Lutheran Church/Redeemer Christian Academy engaged Getty Construction for an update to part of our building originally built in 1965.  This included updating four restrooms and renovation of our building entry.  Dylan was very accessible during the whole process responding quickly as questions arose.  Since our project was a renovation, Dylan and his team did a great job of blending the “new” with the “old”.  There were no budget surprises and the work was completed on a timely basis.  We were very pleased with the end result and would recommend Getty Construction to others.” – Hank, Chair of the Building Committee

“We’ve been working with Getty Construction for years and have consistently had great experiences. We’ve partnered with Getty Construction on a wide range of projects—from smaller tasks like installing a window in a door to much larger undertakings, such as building a complete test kitchen from an open space. No matter the scale, the results have always been excellent. Getty’s crew is highly professional, easy to work with, and consistently delivers high- quality work. We truly value the relationship we’ve built with Getty Construction and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.” – Jeff
